Blue Ridge Counselling is a somatic trauma therapy practice that focuses on mental health, serving Vancouver, BC, the lower mainland, and the rest of Canada virtually. Somatic therapy is beneficial not only for individuals with PTSD but also for anyone managing stress, burnout, and overwhelm. This form of psychotherapy, specifically Somatic Experiencing, is a body-based approach that enhances our capacity to engage in life, grow, and expand. It aims to increase our window of tolerance, starting with the physical reactions that arise in the body. The therapy services offered are a collaborative process where you set the pace.
My name is Camber Isaac, and I'm the owner and founder of Blue Ridge Counselling. The name Blue Ridge pays homage to the healing power of nature and marks the place where I began my journey with mental health in the mountains of North Carolina.

Peter Levine
I am a somatic psychotherapist specializing in mental health, particularly trauma. I integrate traditional western psychotherapy practices with body-based approaches in my therapy services.
I utilize highly researched psychological theories in my therapy services, including Somatic Experiencing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Heartmath biofeedback, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and the Hakomi Method, all of which contribute to enhancing mental health through effective psychotherapy.
This refers to the use of strategies such as breathwork, nature therapy, meditation, acupressure, yoga therapy, exercise, and art therapy as part of a comprehensive therapy program tailored to your mental health needs, which can include various psychotherapy and therapy services.
I strive to create an inclusive, affirming therapeutic space where consent is always prioritized, collaboration is central, and your autonomy is respected at every step. My therapy services are social-justice oriented and deeply respectful of neurodivergent individuals, honoring differences as strengths while actively addressing systemic inequities that impact mental health through effective psychotherapy.
Finding a therapist who makes you feel comfortable can be quite challenging, especially when it comes to your mental health. I understand the significance of selecting the right therapist for your needs, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation by phone. This allows you to ask questions about my therapy services and get a better sense of whether my psychotherapy approach is a good fit for you before making an appointment.
